Hello, I am Alex and I want to give you a warm greeting. Welcome to my blog, my virtual home, where I am writing about movies, cooking, and everything in between, if there is such a thing. Actually, yes, that is a thing, since there are so many cooking shows on our TVs now that I truly enjoy, as well as full motion pictures, like Julie and Julia, or The Hundred-Foot Journey. I don’t really want to brag, but the truth is that I can safely say that I am quite an experienced home cook, and that I will have plenty of things to share with you, if you care to listen to my rants about movies, and the occasional recipes I am trying or cooking for the umpteenth time.
Throughout the years, I discovered that I love best cooking Mexican and French recipes. The latter is not a big surprise, since both my parents are French Canadians, and my grandmother is actually a real French person. I am currently residing in New York, since this is where my work has taken me. My line of work is inbound marketing and I love it; therefore, I love New York, too, since I doubt there is any other place on the planet where you can feel as cosmopolite as here. You just have to imagine what living in New York means for a foodie like me. There are so many restaurants to try, and so many new recipes to learn about that I believe I will have my entire schedule booked at least several years. I am joking, of course. I still need to schedule my goings to the movies, since this is my other passion that I do not want to neglect.
I will tell you all about my favorite recipes while I introduce you to the Mexican and French cuisines I am already acquainted to. By my standards, there is hardly any other cuisine in the world that can compete with these two. Of course, you may be screaming ‘Italian’ at me, right now, but the truth is that Italian recipes have been so much incorporated by local restaurants with their own twists, that I am not sure if I am eating genuine Italian recipes anymore. So, for the sake of authenticity and for the admiration I have for the complex, yet straightforward and delicious, Mexican and French recipes, I will stick with what I know and love so much. If you are on the same team with me, you will surely not regret making the time to read all about the recipes I am going to try.
